Local fans of the famed Mexican singer, Yuridia, will get the chance to see her live in concert this month as she continues her “Desierto Tour 2018.”
The tour name was inspired by her roots and kicked off just last week.
The star will be performing at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium on Aug. 11th.
She’ll be at the House of Blues in Anaheim on the 12th and will take the stage of The Wiltern on Aug. 17th.
From there, the performer will continue her tour across California Arizona, Illinois and Nevada.
Fans of Yuridia first saw her on the popular Mexican reality show, “La Academia,” in which she won second place at the age of 19.
Since then, she became one of the most important artists in Mexico and also among the highest selling artists and became much more than just a star of a television show.
In fact, over her career, which spans over a decade, she has been nominated for a Latin Grammy, Premios Juventud, Latin Billboard, Premios OYE and Premio Lo Nuestro.
Her most recent album, Primera Fila, was released late last year and was certified gold and platinum in Mexico.
The single “Amigos No Por Favor,” got more than 75 million plays on different digital platforms.
Yuridia chose to incorporate her fans in her work by allowing them to choose the second single from the record by voting for their favorite song.
The winner was “Respóndeme Tú (featuring Pepe Aguilar)” and its popularity was evident when it hit more than 14 million views on YouTube.
Audiences at upcoming shows can expect to hear songs from the newest album and experience the star’s vocal power.
