This year’s International Salsa Fest comes with a very festive celebration with music and a special tribute to recent passing of Puerto Rican singer and salsa bolero composer, Cheo Feliciano. Commemorating more than 50 years of Latin music with special performances that will resurrect and elevate the iconic singer’s music and talented spirit.
An array of stars will perform every night during 5 consecutive days of dancing, welcoming everyone to enjoy the rhythm of Roberto Roena y Su Apollo Sound (celebrating the 60th Anniversary of his musical career), The Echo Park Project who are celebrating bringing a CD release party, special guest singer Ray de la Paz to perform with New Swing Sextet, who are coming to celebrate 50 years of their musical career. Also don’t miss the music flavors of international DJ’s such as Super DJ Robby, special guest DJ Guelas and more.
And let’s not forget ‘El Inolvidable’ (the Unforgettable) Tito Rodriguez, with more than 3 decades of boleros and mambo music from the 50’s and 60’s. Musical bands unite to do a special tribute to this popular Puerto Rican singer, and with a special tribute by his son and one of the leading timbales artists, Tito Rodriguez Jr. along with his 13 piece orchestra.
In addition to the afternoon and evening performances, the massive venue, with over 40,000 square feet for dancing, salsa, bachata, pop and hip hop, will also host more than 50 workshops, educational seminars by Felipe Luciano, Eddie Torres, Bill Marin, Tito Ortos, Eddie Camacho, The New Swing Sextet, Tito Rodriguez Jr. and more. Boot camp programs such as: ‘Jorjet Bachata Challenge’ conducted by the famous ‘Mambo King’ salsa dance instructor Eddie Torres, Andrea & Silvia presenting Immersion Bachata Program, daily legendary pool parties from 12:00 p.m. to 6 p.m., social dancing until 6 a.m. and much, much more to come and celebrate with everyone.
