Coming off an extraordinary 2017, Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer Steve Miller is looking forward to his summer 2018 tour with legendary guitarist Peter Frampton. “2017 was an amazingly beautiful, creative and rewarding music experience for our band and our audience,” says Miller. “The band and production crew are working on creating an even better concert experience for 2018 and plan on wading even deeper into the musical waters. Peter Frampton and I enjoyed last summer. There is so much to explore and we are really looking forward.” Frampton adds, “Having had such a fantastic tour together last summer, Steve and I decided to keep going this year! Jamming together each night during Steve’s set is one of my favorite moments of the evening. Can’t wait to get back out there.” Steve Miller was a mainstay of the San Francisco music scene that upended American culture in the late ’60s. With albums like Children of the Future, Sailor and Brave New World, Miller perfected a psychedelic blues sound that drew on the deepest sources of American roots music and simultaneously articulated a compelling vision of what music and society could be in the years to come. The Steve Miller Band has played to more than 20 million people in the last 20 years. Grammy Award-winning guitarist Peter Frampton remains one of the most celebrated artists in rock history. At age 16, he was lead singer and guitarist for British band the Herd. At 18, he co-founded one of the first supergroups, seminal rock act Humble Pie. His session work includes collaborations with such legendary artists as George Harrison, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ringo Starr, John Entwistle among many others. Frampton has appeared as himself in television shows “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy.” He also served as technical advisor on Cameron Crowe’s film Almost Famous as well as appearing in it and writing songs for the soundtrack. In 2014, Frampton was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame. He recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of his fifth solo album, Frampton Comes Alive!, which remains one of the top-selling live records of all time.
