“The Walking Dead” attraction opens July 4 at Universal Studios Hollywood.
As season 2 of “Fear the Walking Dead” winds down, all you diehard fans of everything “The Walking Dead” have several long months until October for the original series to return for its 16th season. You don’t have to wait to get your fix of zombie thrills, though, thanks to Universal Studios Hollywood. The theme park has just announced the official opening date for its new “The Walking Dead” attraction: July 4, 2016.
So, aside from fireworks and barbecue, this is another thing to add to your list of why the Fourth of July kicks serious butt over other holidays. In anticipation of the unveiling, Universal Studios Hollywood has released a video that gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the walk-through attraction. Greg Nicotero, executive producer and director of “The Walking Dead,” provides commentary as he tours his Los Angeles-based special effects studio, KNB Efx, where all of the decaying walkers are created for the show and the ride.
