“Love Jones: The Musical” comes in Dolby Theatre Nov. 5 and 6.
Los Angeles is a wonderful place to live or visit in November of 2016. For one, the weather is always just right. Another great reason to visit Los Angeles is the beautiful scenery. A third reason to visit Los Angeles is all of the entertainment events and things that one can do in the city. Visitors can even go to a casino and learn to play traditional slot machine games while they wait for shows and other events to start. The following are four upcoming events in Los Angeles in November of 2016 that one may be interested in attending.
Comedy Show: John Cleese and Eric Idle
John Cleese and Eric Idle are old-school British legends that fans can see in Los Angeles. They’ve been in movies and television shows such as A Fish Called Wanda, “Monty Python’s Flying Circus,” National Lampoon’s European Vacation, The Pink Panther 2 and more. Their comedy is unique, and their shows visit-worthy. The L.A. show is on Friday Nov. 11, 2016, and it starts at 8:00 p.m. at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Tickets are currently $95. No one knows exactly what they’ll be doing, but rumor has it that they will be juggling in the midst of their act.
Music Show: Erykah Badu
Erykah Badu is a singer-and-songwriter who has been in the game for several decades. Fans who knew of her music in the late ‘90s were impressed with songs like “Tyrone,” which seemed to speak out against the mistreatment of women. Nowadays, she still performs, but her music is quite different. Modern fans can see her perform at the Observatory at 3503 S. Harbor Blvd., Santa Ana, CA 92704. Her performance will occur on Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at 8 p.m. As of now, the tickets are $128.
Musicals: “Love Jones”
“Love Jones: The Musical” is a show that is based off of the 1997 film of the same title. The film was about a poet and a photographer who spend half of their relationship trying to figure out if what they have is real love or an imitation of such. The musical is a powerful version that will be showing at the Dolby Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 6 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The tickets are currently $55-$90.
Other Shows: The LA Auto Show
If you are a car enthusiast, then you will enjoy attending the LA Auto Show in November. You will get to see a vast assortment of concept cars, race cars, antiques and more. The auto show is open to the public, and the tickets are not expensive. It starts on Nov. 18 and ends on Nov. 27. The price of advance tickets is $10 to $85 depending on the ticket type.
