Excitement over Universal Studios Hollywood’s new attractions continues as improvements are made to CityWalk.
For Angelenos living in the heart of the city, Universal Studios Hollywood is the best theme park option, not only for its close proximity to home but for the world-class attractions it boasts. The park has undergone an ambitions revitalization that includes the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the upcoming “The Walking Dead” attraction (opening July 4).
To celebration the epic redevelopment, Universal Studios Hollywood has introduced a streamlined new logo. The immediately recognizable Universal Studios globe rests on a field of blue with the tagline “The Entertainment Capital of LA” below.
In addition, several enhancements to Universal CityWalk have been announced to go along with the theme park’s improvements. If you’re going to spend the day at Universal Studios Hollywood, you are inevitably going to spend time at Universal CityWalk. Even if you’re not visiting the theme park, Universal CityWalk is a great place to have a dinner-and-movie date or day of shopping with the girls.
At the forefront of Universal CityWalk’s update is a renovation to the aesthetics and design of the state-of-the-art Universal Cinemas. A complete refurbishment of the split-level structure includes the installation of deluxe recliner seats in all 18 theaters, upgrading with Christie RGB Laser projection Dolby Atmos immersive surround sound, new Christie Vive speakers and a brand-new stylish bar/lounge.
The dancing water fountain that children of all ages love to splash in has undergone a makeover from one of the designer behind the famed water art at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. The display now incorporates over 230 individual power jets and colorful LED lights – just in time for hot summer nights.
The four-star dining at Universal CityWalk has added new choices from one of the city’s best chefs, Ludo Lefebvre, with the opening of his famous fried chicken spot, LudoBird. Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza has also joined the roster, and Dongpo Kitchen opens later this summer. Also coming soon are an outpost of Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Voodoo Doughnut.
Not to be forgotten are Universal CityWalk’s retailers. Shoe Palace has just joined the ranks alongside retailers such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Hot Topic, Lush Cosmetics and Guess Accessories.
Every summer, the popular 5 Towers stage offers concerts from some of today’s hottest artists. Justin Bieber, CeeLo Green, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa and Good Charlotte have all taken the stage at Universal CityWalk’s 5 Towers.
Don’t miss out on any of the fun this summer at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk.
