The Oklahoma City Thunder redeemed their earlier loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, defeating them 131-102 Thursday night.
Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook each scored 29 points en route to the Thunder leading for the majority of the game. Lakers’ rookie Ryan Kelly scored 12 points, collected four rebounds, dished out six assists and made two blocks.
Despite four starters scoring in double digits, the Lakers couldn’t gain control of the game. Ironically, the Lakers were shooting 48.1 percent from the three-point line.
But the Lakers hot shooting couldn’t prevent the 14 turnovers that gave 21 points to the Thunder. The Thunder also outscored the Lakers in fast break points, 31-20.
Overall, it was a lopsided win for the Thunder, who shot 50.6 percent from the field, 43.3 percent from the three-point line and 93.3 percent from the free-throw line. Going into the fourth, the Thunder had already put up 101 points on the Lakers.
The Lakers dropped to 22-43.
