This year is The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s 50th birthday. The brand was born and brewed in Southern California since 1963. It is the oldest and largest privately held specialty coffee and tea retailer in the United States.
The company is not quite over the hill yet as it is known for its fine international ingredients and flavors. Through its aging process, it has evolved into an international icon and gracefully reached nearly 1,000 stores across 30 countries.
In celebration of the grand opening of its newest addition to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s family, the upcoming Culver City location in West Los Angeles is having a ribbon cutting ceremony lead by Culver City Mayor Jeff Cooper on Thursday, November 4. Customers are invited to join the festivities by purchasing $1 holiday beverages, like Toffee Nut Latte and Peppermint Mocha Latte, from 2-6 p.m.
All proceeds are intended to go to Peace4kids, an organization addressing the needs of foster and at-risk youth in the South Los Angeles area. Peace4kids provides youth in foster care with secure and positive connections to caring mentors. They provide a foundational support necessary for healthy and social growth for youth ages 4-18 and all the way to 24 years of age empowering them to make changes in their lives and communities.
As for those of you thinking about stopping by for a buck drink, there will be an in-store giveaway of a custom tumbler. There will also be a complimentary The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf tote give away with a beverage purchase but, of course, only while supplies last so take advantage of the wonderful crisp weather and stroll out for a drink. This offer, however, is only applicable at the 10705 Washington Blvd., Culver City location, where the celebration will be under way.
Continuing the decade long tradition each holiday season, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf continues to support the community through offers on delicious holiday beverages like Red Velvet Hot Cocoa and Winter Dream Tea Latte for $1. You can get yourself one of these holiday inspired drinks at the Annual Holiday Open House in participating locations across California on Thursday, Nov. 7 from 2-6 p.m.
All of the proceeds will benefit The Help Group, the largest U.S. nonprofit that serves children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, abuse, and emotional problems. In addition, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf will donate $1 to the charity for every pound of Holiday Blend Coffee or 20-count Winter Dream Tea tin, not including gift sets, sold between November 4th and December 29th.
All holiday beverages will be available from Monday, November 4th through Sunday, December 29th.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has shown sincere dedication to the community in the past years and now continues to support through lively celebrations in hopes of getting more of us to come out and stand in unison and solidarity with those less fortunate.
