Enjoy Happy Hour specials at Plan Check Downtown with your canine best friend every Sunday through the end of summer.

Prepare to bring your four-legged best friend to Plan Check Downtown for an evening of fun and raising funds for a good cause. Beginning Aug. 8, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., the new weekly “Dog Days of Summer Happy Hour” is going to be offered every Sunday through the end of summer.

For this, Plan Check is partnering with Margo’s Bark – a locally owned root beer company donating 100 percent of their profits to animal rescues – to contribute 10-percent of happy hour sales to local dog rescues and shelters. The shelters include A Purposeful Rescue and Home Dog LA.

The Los Angeles-based restaurant serves modern takes on American comfort food by Executive Chef Ernesto Uchimura such as Beast Fries ($6.66), Tacos Hamburguesa ($8) and the S.F.C. Jidori Chicken Sandwich ($9). You can also find innovative cocktails, premium whiskeys and craft beers here, including draft beer ($2 off), Slow & Low Old Fashioned ($6), Tropical Daisy ($6) and red or white wine ($4).
