The first-annual Santa Barbara Polo & Wine Festival takes place Oct. 7. (David Lominska Polographics)
There are many traits and places that are emblematic of Southern California. The beach, sunny skies, wine tasting and outdoor concerts are just a few of the things that make this state the most desirable of all the states to be in.
Well, on Saturday, Oct. 7, all of those things will come together, as the first-annual Santa Barbara Polo & Wine Festival, presented by KCRW 88.7 FM takes place at the gorgeous Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club.
The legendary Macy Gray headlines a fun lineup that includes LP, Nick Waterhouse, Durand Jones & the Indications, Vieux Farka Toure and Angelou – all of whom will provide the perfect soundtrack to a splendid afternoon of wine tasting and the wonderful and tradition-filled game of polo. If you’ve never seen polo in person (or at all) you can take a little crash course by visiting sbpoloandwine.com/polo-dress.
Tickets for this are as follows: $75 for General Admission and $185 for VIP tickets. The early-bird options for general admission and VIP sold out, so be sure to get your tickets fast. For those willing to spend more and who want to come in groups, there are several options that run from $265 to 290 per seat. These are VIP box seats or cabanas that include one to two bottles of champagne, services from the festival waiting staff and VIP valet parking.
You can purchase tickets to the Santa Barbara Polo & Wine Festival by going to sbpoloandwine.com.
The venue will abound in chic sundresses and stylish floppy hats, as well as polo shirts and fedoras, so bring your fashion A-game.
