Revolver Golden Gods Awards to Honor Axl Rose, Joan Jett at Club Nokia

The 6th Annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards will take place at Club Nokia on April 23, and will honor Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose with the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award.

The legendary Joan Jett will be the first woman honored with the Golden God Award.

Guns N’ Roses are one of the most revered groups in the industry, having sold over 100 million albums throughout their career. Rose will be taking his place in the Revolver Golden Gods Hall of Fame, and will be joining past inductees such as Metallica, Rush, Motley Crue, and Ozzy Osbourne.

The Golden God Award is given to a special honoree who embodies the spirit of rock and metal, and this year, it goes to Jett. The first woman to be honored with this award, she will join past winners Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, and Gene Simmons.

Both honorees will be taking the stage in special performances – Rose will be performing with Guns N’ Roses, and Jett will be performing with the Blackhearts.

This year’s nominees also include Black Sabbath, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, and Metallica, among others.
