We’ve never seen a show like this, where a music star gives such an enthralling intimate live performance in front of an interactive crowd.
That’s what 29-year-old hip hop and R&B singer-songwriter Trey Sonz did Friday night at Greystone Manor in Hollywood. Fans, taste makers, media and celebrities attended the intimate and private performance by Trey Songz at HelloBeautiful’s InterludesLIVE inaugural LA event.
The event had a Dr. Miracles sponsored Beauty bar where they touched up their hair and makeup with Dr. Miracles products. Actress Melinda Williams, among other celebrities, and Karrueche Tran, OloriSWANK and Tae Heckard were in attendance. But, as expected, the beauty of the night was when Trey Songz’ performed.
The venue itself is a really upscale and sophisticated place, which was more than ideal for this night. Servers greeted everyone coming in, while offering champagne when you entered and waiters walking around with mini food (tuna tartar, burgers, garlic fries, chicken). There were about 15 tables around the front to create an intimate atmosphere.
Trey Songs started behind the curtains to the side in front of the bar. Being nondescript and while a waitress came up to him with a microphone, he walked onto the stage and began singing. It was right there and then that he displayed his vocals while hiting all the high notes, which made the females go wild.
Throughout the night, there were several women in the crowd that sang along to his songs, such as “Love Faces” to one of his newest singles in “Na Na.” He dedicated any birthdays in the crowd with “Say Aah.” As he was finishing his set, he teased the women by pretending to take off his shirt and allowed one lucky lady to take it off for him. He was also close enough to communicate to each of the females in the front tables and have a moment to talk to some and eat candy.
In the end, he shined a spotlight to his mom and ended the night ready to show that the night was not over, by asking if he could make some ladies stay and asking for a drink.
