Nothing screams Hollywood more than Rock’n’Roll, and that’s exactly what you get with the new production of “Rock of Ages Hollywood”.

This “dinner theater” show brings the bourbon room to life with the tales of woe of simple musicians who have a dream. The set is designed beautifully with every actor embodying their characters. Once you step inside from the Hollywood Boulevard, you’re immediately transported back to the rocking 1980’s with custom bar drinks, axe-guitars, guyliner, and long flowing hair.

The interior of the venue is lined with platinum records hanging on the walls next to axe-guitars giving you the sense of what a 1980’s record label studio might look like. Guests are treated to a large bar with specialty themed drinks as well as snacks. A stage was set up with a Rock of Ages backdrop where you could take pictures to make you feel like you were walking down a red carpet. For the real thrill seeker, a tattoo chair was set up for those who wanted an everlasting keep sake from the show, even if it is only temporary ink.

The theater itself is washed in neon reds, purples, and hot pinks, illuminating the Bourbon Room. The seats and plush leather and have flame covered toy lighters waiting for the audience members. The stage is a dazzling set piece broken into three separate areas complete with a stripper pole. The show brings its production down to its roots, taking place just streets over from the venue location. Once the lights dim, the fog machines roll, and the music comes on, the play immerses you into the 1980’s Hollywood story.

The cast is perfect in their role, not a weak link among them. Every player brings to life their character along with hitting every note of classic rock songs you can help but sing along to. The experience overall is captivating and immerses you into the story. The songs are catchy, the jokes land their mark every time, and Rock of Ages takes the dinner theater format to a whole new level making it more interactive than ever before.
