Mexican singer Ana Bárbara presented her new album, Ahora Me Toca A Mi, at The Conga Room in Los Angeles, and it’s first single, ‘Tu Ingratitud,’ is already a hit.
After 4 years out of the musical stage, the proclaimed Grupera Queen (Ana Bárbara) makes her triumphant return with this production. This new album, which went into production in April of this year, is totally composed of banda music and she hopes it will mark her return to the stage as well as be a gift for her loyal fans.
With Ahora Me Toca A Mi, Ana Bárbara is celebrating her 42nd birthday, and aims to reinvigorate her career while removing herself from the scandals that have plagued her in recent years.
The album was produced by Reily, and is made up of original works by him and Ana Barbara such as “Ya No Estoy.” Amongst the artists collaborating in the album are Joan Sebastian and Marco Antonio Solis, who composed “Tu Ingratitud,” which becomes a great song as a banda version with her on vocals. This first single is already a hit on the radio and is a best-seller on iTunes.
The album is now available in stores and online. To officially launch her album, Ana Bárbara performed an intimate show Tuesday niht. She thanked all her fans for being loyal to her music career, and was very humble and amiable in her interactions with them.
Accompanied by the Banda Alto Estilo, she performed for about 30 minutes. She sang 3 songs from her new album, including “Tu Ingratitud,” and “Ahora Me Toca A Mi,” as well as some of her classics like “Lo Busque.”
At the conclusion of her show, Ana Bárbara promised to return to Los Angeles on an upcoming tour and for a longer, more formal concert.
