Witness the greatness that is Paquita La Del Barrio Feb. 27 at Microsoft Theater.
“¿Me estás oyendo, inútil?” OK, good. Saturday, Feb. 27, an eclectic group of female firepower is going to be on display as Paquita La Del Barrio headlines a star-studded concert at Microsoft Theater.
The ranchera diva is most famous for her feminist anthems “Rata de Dos Patas” and “Viejo Rabo Verde” but has a repertoire as deep as anyone in Mexican music. The beloved Paquita, whose career has spanned five decades and is celebrating 45 years as an artist, received a lifetime achievement award just last week at Premios Lo Nuestro in Miami, where she also performed and had the audience on its feet, singing her songs word for word.
The upcoming concert also features L.A. native Marisela, known as the Latin Madonna, “La Reina de La Banda” Graciela Beltran, Ana Victoria and Diana Reyes, with a special appearance by the legendary Mexican tropical music playing group, Sonora Santanera.
Through its many reincarnations since 1955, Sonora Santanera are one of the most culturally meaningful Latin musical acts, and are a must-have on any playlist.
Tickets are available at the Microsoft Theater box office, at axs.com or by calling (888) 929-7849.
