The Original Catalina Wine Mixer Returns as a Three-Day Event

Last year marked the debut of the Original Catalina Wine Mixer, and the event was such a success that the Santa Catalina Island Company, the Xceptional Music Company and Island Express Helicopters decided to extend the festivities into a weekend-long extravaganza. From Friday, Sept. 23, through Sunday, Sept. 25, the magic of Step Brothers, the 2008 comedy starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, is going to be celebrated on the island.

A General Admission Two-Day Pass ($149) grants access to beachfront musical performances at Descanso Beach Club – including a the Dan Band on Sunday – and a souvenir wine glass on Sunday, while the Platinum VIP Two-Day Pass ($399) includes access to a VIP Hospitality Suite with no host bar and complimentary food stations, a private wine tasting on Sunday with souvenir wine glass, access to the live musical performances and to a screening of Step Brothers on Friday.

Private cabanas are available for rent, and transportation to Catalina can be booked on a ferry via Catalina Express or in true Step Brothers style on a helicopter via Island Express.
