Los Angeles is known for its boho chic and sophisticated casual style in which luxury and street combine in an easygoing manner that makes status symbols hard to differentiate from fast fashion. When perusing boutiques around the city you find that, unless it is a brand from NYC or Europe that has not completely altered its merchandise for us SoCal-ians, many, if not most, shops cater to what we are already known to be wearing. This is not the case for Niki Schwan’s boutique.

Having opened its doors June 5, 2014, this quaint two-story shop hosts designers from around the globe. Schwan’s goal is to showcase designers who normally would not be seen stateside. Her merchandise ranges from sexy to sophisticated, hard to soft, risqué to demur. Out-of-this-world jewelry housed in display cases draws in the eye and makes you want to put on everything at once. Every item is gorgeous in its uniqueness. It is obvious that Schwan has meticulously selected each piece to place in her shop. As a world-renowned celebrity stylist, she is using her keen eye to bring pieces to Los Angeles that we are in desperate need of. In a city of in vogue bohos, Niki Schwan brings us the cutting edge styles that we didn’t even know we urgently need in our closets.
