Acclaimed English singer-songwriter Morrissey is set to launch his U.S. concert tour in San Jose on May 7 at the City National Civic Center Auditorium. The tour comes ahead of the release of his new album, the first in 5 years, still in production.

Morrissey is set to perform on Monday, May 10 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.

Joining him onstage at all tour dates will be singer-songwriter and keyboardist Kristeen Young, as well as his longtime band including Boz Boorer (guitar), Jesse Tobias (guitar), Solomon Walker (bass), Matthew Walker (drums) and Gustavo Manzur (keyboards).

Morrissey rose to fame in the 1980′s as the lead singer of iconic British band The Smiths. After that band’s dissolution, Morrissey launched his solo career in 1988. Over the past 25 years, he has become one of the most influential recording artists of his generation through the release of 9 globally acclaimed studio albums and an array of singles.

The extensive tour, scheduled to run through June 21, will make stops at 25 different cities across the US, including Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas, Memphis, Nashville, Miami, Boston, Chicago, among others, and will conclude at the Barclays Center Arena in New York.
