Mondrian LA Takes on Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest is a long heralded celebration of beer and bites with roots in Munich, Germany. The American versions of Oktoberfest are usually a contemporary twist on this German tradition. This Oktoberfest, Angelenos have a myriad of options but the best bet is at Mondrian LA for their latest pop-up, Craft & Claw.

The iconic Mondrian LA has always captured the essence of the Sunset Strip and Los Angeles. The elegant décor matched with an exciting ambience is always a given at this luxury boutique hotel. During Oktoberfest the outdoor area will be adorned with string lights and bright colored beer hall tables inspired by the LA sunset. Guests at this pop-up can enjoy delicious cuisine while gazing at the gorgeous view from Mondrian LA.

Craft & Claw features an extensive selection of local craft beer, lobster and crab rolls and four new signature cocktails. The featured beers include Golden Road, Eagle Rock, Trumer Pilsner, Anomaly and Feminist. Celebrity chef Brian Malarkey crafted the exquisite menu of seafood offerings. His offerings from his Herringbone restaurant are quite unique and delicious. They include Maine Lobster Roll and the Vietnamese Lobster Roll with Spicy Mayo, Vietnamese Slaw, Daikon and Cucumber, as well as Blue Crab Salad, Crab Deviled Eggs and Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. The California Lobster Roll is truly a stand out dish.

The newly crafted signature cocktail list for Craft & Claw is outstanding. The four concoctions are different perfect for the autumnal season. The Indian Summer cocktail will be a crowd pleaser. The cocktail features Bombay Gin, Luxardo Cheery Liquor, lime and simple syrup. This libation has a variety of flavors that are equally balanced. The Lobster Bloody Mary is perfect for the brunch bunch.

There is something for everyone during Craft & Claw. Mondrian LA will also be hosting Craft & Claw’s Lobstoberfest on October 11 with live performances, all-you-can-eat lobster rolls and tastings of local brews. Don’t miss this contemporary Oktoberfest celebration!
