Unafraid of color and patterns, Lupita Nyong’o has become the newest It-Girl. This Mexican born Kenyan actress has had a whirlwind year from making front page news with the fashions she worn during award season to winning an Academy Award and as of recent she was named People’s most beautiful woman of 2014.

Rightfully so, Nyong’o is definitely one of the most beautiful woman in recent years. She’s likable, talented, smart and different. By different I mean that we haven’t seen a dark beauty like her in ages. She has melted the sometimes cold-hearted Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour’s heart and was named Top Ten Rising Style Stars.

Nyong’o has also been fortunate enough to be the new face of Miu Miu for spring 2014 campaign along with some notable celebrities like Elizabeth Olsen and Elle Fanning.

Since her Oscar nominated performance as Patsey in Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave, Nyong’o has been on a non-stop film promotion and fashion show tour. Rubbing elbows with legends is always a good measure of your celebrity status and for Nyong’o we’ve seen Anna Wintour smiling ear to ear accompanying Nyong’o.

In our eyes Nyong’o can do no wrong. She has grown to be this smart young woman to this amazing role model for girls everywhere and also an inspiration to women around the globe.
