Same festival. New location.

Yes, folks. That’s the one and only Lightning in a Bottle, which is scheduled to take place from Thursday, July 11 through Monday, July 15 at Lake Skinner County Park in Temecula, Calif. It will include yoga, art, food, and music.

“Our goal with the music is to create a positive and uplifting experience, with a good balance of beautiful melodic music and good old party music,” said The Do Lab co-founder and curator Jesse Flemming. “After 4 months of in depth research and a lot of listening we tried to cover as many genres as possible that we feel fit the vibe that we’re trying to create with Lightning in a Bottle.”

In terms of performers, the lineup is led by electro-pop duo Purity Ring. Moreover, the list of acts to be on the stages include Nicolas Jaar, Rusko, Tycho, Paper Diamond, Emancipator, PANTyRAiD, Lee Burridge, GRiZ, Miguel Migs, Eskmo, Tim Green, Cari Lekebusch, Blockhead, and Kastl.

On top of those performers, François K, Blackbird Blackbird, Jason Bentley, and Herbert Bail Orchestra will deliver sets, as well as over 100 more industry leading acts.

One thing to keep an eye out for is The Lucent Temple of Consciousness; it’s a sanctuary for all participants to enrich the soul and inspire the spirit. The Lucent Temple, which is built out of recycled and found objects, will include over 300 different experiences in yoga, workshops, speakers and exotic world music.

The Do LaB is based in Los Angeles; it’s mission is to craft experience as art and bring communities together. Besides showcasing electronic music artists throughout Southern California, The Do LaB is well known for creating unique art installations, stages and curating cutting edge acts at the inner misting Oasis stage at Coachella in addition to producing SoCal’s Lightning in a Bottle.

ART: This is where Lightning in a Bottle makes itself heard over and over. They sport eye-popping and state-of-the-art installations, walk-in works, and light-up pieces. It’s out of this world.

GREEN: As it usually does, the Lightning in a Bottle welcomes “green” speakers to speak at workshops addressing resource usage, packaging, and smart shopping. Interestingly enough, the festival offers free water (filtered, natch) to the public.

KIDS: This is probably the festival’s most unique aspect since there’s a zone made for youngsters. It contains various ways that families can enjoy the experience together.

MUSIC: A number of stages will be set up.

YOGA: To no one’s surprise, acclaimed teachers will visit the five-day event to lead large and peaceful groups in downward dogs and other traditional poses.

In essence, Lightning in a Bottle is a celebration of art, sustainability, music, performance, and life itself, as they themselves put it.

It’s true.
