Fans of the popular American regional Mexican artist, Larry Hernandez are in for a treat as the songwriter and reality star takes the stage tonight. Performing at the Microsoft Theater (formerly known as the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live), Hernandez plans to delight fans with songs that span his career.
Although his debut album, Sentella Norteña, released in 1999, it wasn’t until 2009 that the performer gained a mass following. It was the release of his album, 16 Narco Corridos – which had a central theme focusing on drug trafficking culture – that catapulted him into stardom.
Since the beginning of his career in the ‘90s, Hernandez has gained fans of all ages and backgrounds. Known for his música norteña (Northern music) and corridos, Hernandez has won critical acclaim for his work.
He not only reached No. 4 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums, he also won Billboard’s Latin Artist of the Year, New in 2010 and Regional Mexican Airplay Artist of the Year, Solo as well as Regional Mexican Albums Artist of the Year, Solo in 2011.
While he is predominately known for his music, he’s also known by many for his reality show, “Larrymania” which premiered in October 2012. The series allowed fans a rare glimpse into the life of the musician.
Most recently, Hernandez released the music video for the song “Quien Fue” from his newest album titled, Vete Acostumbrando.
