LA Galaxy Unveil Primary Kit for 2014, Trade Greg Cochrane to Fire

The Los Anglees Galaxy unveiled their new primary adidas kit for the 2014 season with a digital launch on www.lagalaxy.com and the club’s social media platforms at 11:11 a.m. PT today.

To launch the new kit, the Galaxy captured photos and video of 11 different facets of the club. Featured in the We Are the LA Galaxy campaign are members of the LA Galaxy (Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan), LA Galaxy II (Elijiah Martin), LA Galaxy Alumni (Cobi Jones and Mauricio Cienfuegos), LA Galaxy Academy (Ryan Lane), an LA Galaxy family (Aly and Elise Lane) and LA Galaxy Supporters Groups Angel City Brigade (Ethan Ruiz), LA Riot Squad (Andrew Alesana) and the Galaxians (Carlissa Perdomo). The new kit features an updated sash that showcases the energy and nonstop motion of LA. The sash is composed of 11 individual stripes, which symbolize the Starting XI players and completes the traditional sash. The kit’s neck tape displays the traditional LA quasar, also featured in the lenticular crest. “This Is LA”, a supporter-inspired team slogan, appears on the jock tag.

The kit is now available at the TEAM LA store located in StubHub Center as well as online at teamlastore.com. LA Galaxy Season Ticket Members will be able to use their 20% discount to purchase the new kits.

In other news, the team also announced that it has received a conditional draft pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft from the Chicago Fire in exchange for defender Greg Cochrane.

The Holland, Pa. product was selected 38th overall by the Galaxy in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft. In his first season as a professional, Cochrane started nine of his 12 MLS appearances for the Galaxy, and started both CONCACAF Champions League matches in which he appeared. Cochrane also appeared once in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup play.
