Depending on how you look at something can determine your outlook on life. Life is all about perspective. The same can be said with photography. Actually, that’s almost exactly what photography is. Lighting, composition and subject matter can make or break a photo.
Instagram has plenty of photographers you can follow to observe these beautiful images. Luckily for us, Los Angeles produces some of the best photographers in the industry. Whether it’s during the day, night or sunset, Los Angeles is always pretty. Here are three photographers you need to follow on Instagram that capture the very essence of this beauty.
Dan Marker-Moore (@danorst) – Marker-Moore showcases a wide variety photos, ranging from sunsets to shots of downtown Los Angeles at night. On his Instagram page you can also find time-lapse videos of the city after dark. This offers a different perspective of the city like you’ve never seen it before. Especially when the time-lapse videos are from a helicopter. Other than Los Angeles, you can also find photos of New York and Paris.
Terry Mclaughlin (@asteryx) – One of my newest favorite accounts to follow, a wide majority of Mclaughlin’s photos are taken at night. Most of the pictures are also taken from the view of a helicopter. These stunning photos are unique and eye opening, from LAX to the rooftops of skyscrapers in Downtown. With all of this beauty also comes the other side of the city we don’t see. Mclaughlin also has a series of photos in which portraits are taken of Los Angeles’ homeless community.
Dylan Schwartz (@dylan.schwartz) – Perhaps the most diverse photographer of the group, Schwartz offers a wide variety of landscape portraits and even a few time-lapse videos. What sets this photographer apart from the others is his ability to capture split-second moments as they are happening in the city.
