Think you have what it takes to make it through the night at Great Horror Campout?
While October holds the title for the most frightening month out of the year, the team behind the Haunted Hayride add some scary spice to the start of summer with the return of the Great Horror Campout this Friday, June 10, and Saturday, June 11. Presented by Freeform’s new series “Dead of Summer,” the 12-hour, overnight and interactive horror camping adventure takes place in Elysian Park and offers two levels of experiences.
First is the less extreme, Lower Octane option with activities like watching horror movies, playing games, telling ghost stories and doing arts and crafts. These campers can rest easy, free from monster visits in tents located in the Chicken Zone.
Then, for the brave adrenaline junkies, there’s the High Octane Horror Experience. Not only is your tent open to being invaded all night long, you’re immersed in the Hell Hunt for SCAG (Shit Campers All Get) items for the title of Hellmaster. Be prepared to be stalked by the Chupacabra through a labyrinth; bathed in blood, fire and gore in sacrifice to the Cannibal God Kon Tiki; chased by solders of the Wolfs Den; thrown into the Ramble by the Goatmen; and so much more.
Great Horror Campout lasts from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. for adults 18 and over. Once you purchase tickets, a Hell Hunt dossier will be emailed to you.
