About Keith Sweat, Musiq Soulchild and Chrisette Michele
Keith Sweat has been a major force in the R&B world for decades, whether he is churning out new R&B tunes or hosting his nationally syndicated radio program entitled The Keith Sweat Hotel with Keith Sweat, he never fails to entertain his audience, as he is undoubtedly one of the most dynamic performers around. Sweat became one of the most popular R&B/soul producers, singers and songwriters of the late ‘80s and ‘90s. Sweat began his career as lead singer with the band Jamilah in the mid-’70s but left to start a solo career in the mid-’80s. He’s credited with helping launch New Jack Swing, a fusion of hip-hop production with R&B style vocals, via his 1987 No. 1 hit “I Want Her.” Sweat’s string of hits, running into the late ’90s, include “Something Just Ain’t Right,” “Make It Last Forever,” “Don’t Stop Your Love,” “Make You Sweat,” “Merry Go Round,” “I’ll Give All My Love to You,” “Your Love Part 2,” “Keep It Comin’,” “Why Me Baby,” “How Do You Like It?,” “Twisted,” “Nobody” and “Come and Get With Me.”
Musiq Soulchild is a Neo-Soul & R&B artist, whose unique style blends R&B, soul, funk, hip-hop, and rock, creating a sound unlike any other. Musiq Soulchild has had 2 platinum albums, 2 gold albums and 7 hit singles.
In a very short span of time, R&B singer/songwriter Chrisette Michele shot from small-time performer up to one of Def Jam’s most promising talents, purely based on her unique instrument — a gorgeous and effortlessly versatile singing voice colored with Billie Holiday-esque inflections of vocal pop and jazz.
