Gigamesh

Tonight, prepare for a wild night as CONTROL brings none other than multi-platinum selling artist Gigamesh to the stage.

Matt Masurka, better known as Gigamesh, is the expert producer, remixer, and DJ that has been steadily gaining traction since he first appeared in the late 2000’s. With over 30 remixes and two EP’s under his belt, the jazz-trained musician has earned a reputation for flawless productions and remixes, pushing him into the center spotlight.

While he is perhaps best known for the wildly popular rework of Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks,” Gigamesh is just as talented on the decks as he is in the studio. As a touring DJ, Gigamesh has played to audiences all across Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America, always leaving his fans eager for a return. Fresh off the release of his new single “Back 2 Life,” Gigamesh touches down at CONTROL on Friday night for a funk-infused evening that is sure to keep everyone dancing late into the night.

Supporting Gigamesh will be Australian-born song-writer, producer, and DJ Plastic Plates. A musician from an early age, Plastic Plates grew up studying Jazz and completed studies at the renowned Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Having played in multiple bands spanning a variety of genres, Plastic Plates brings his eclectic musical background to the stage with him for every performance. Be sure to catch Plastic Plates for a unique and and genre-bending set as he makes a very special appearance at CONTROL.

Getting things started off for the night will be the young, Los-Angeles based producer Durante. An intern at Skrillex’s famed OWSLA label, Durante’s productions bring influences from 80’s disco-house together with a new-age sound to create a truly unique brand music. Picked by LessThan3 and Trapstyle as an artist to watch in 2015, Durante is set to have a great year as he release new, always fresh tunes to his rapidly growing base of fans. Make sure to get to Avalon early to catch Durante warming up the dance floor for a night of soulful music in Hollywood.
