Thirteen 10-foot tall art guitars will be auctioned off at the Gibson Guitartown on the Sunset Strip Charity Auction on Friday, February 21.

These guitars have lined up the Sunset strip for the last year, and will now be auctioned off at Bonhams in LA at a gala event open to the public. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit disaster relief organization called Music for Relief.

Music for Relief was founded by members of Linkin Park, and they support disaster relief, prevention, and provide aid to disaster survivors.

The 2013 GuitarTown project includes works celebrating Joan Jett, Janis Joplin, ZZ Top, Alice Cooper and Debbie Harry, among others. A range of artists participated in the 2013 installment, including Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda, tattoo artists Kat Von D and Lyle Tuttle, sculptor Eugene Daub, and jewelry designer Kathy Rose.
