Night one of BET Experience includes a headlining set by Future at Club Nokia.
On June 27, 28 and 29, Club Nokia hosts the second annual BET Experience, with an array of comedy and live musical performances. All three nights are sure to be filled with plenty of laughs, good times and great music at L.A. Live.
The first night kicks off with an arsenal of comedic performances that include: Karlous Miller (MTV’s “Yo Momma”), Lil Rel Howery (“The Arsenio Hall Show” and “Gotham Comedy Live”), Ray Grady (“1st Amendment Stand Up”), Sydney Castillo (“Hell Date”) and Zainab Johnson (“Private Practice”).
Starting at 11pm are the headlining musical acts, Maxwell and Jill Scott at Staples center, and DJ Khaled and Future at Club Nokia. Future began his career in Atlanta, Ga. From an early age people knew he was going to be something special, thus giving him the nickname “The Future.” In 2011 Future signed a major record deal with Epic Records just a short time before the anticipated release of his mixtape entitled Streetz Calling. His debut album, Pluto, came in like a sledge hammer on the hip-hop scene with songs like “Tony Montana” featuring Drake and “Magic” featuring T.I.
Future’s released his sophomore effort, Honest, in April. The album features six singles, including “Karate Chop,” “I Won” and “Move That Dope.” The album also offers powerhouse guest appearances from artists such as Pharrell, Pusha T, Casino, Wiz Khalifa, Drake, Kanye West, Young Scooter, Andre 3000 and Lil Wayne.
Night two of the BET Experience also boasts comedians like Red Grant, Gary G-Thang Johnnson, Nika Williams, Malik S. and Rudy Rush. The musical portion of the evening features the Roots, the band we’ve all grown to love from “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Outkast, A$AP Rocky and Rick Ross.
The final night culminates in the 2014 BET Awards Show at Nokia Theatre and a concert from Mary J. Blige, Trey Songz, Jennifer Hudson and K. Michelle at Staples Center.
The BET experience is going to be three nights of entertainment you won’t want to miss.
