The 33rd annual PaleyFest Los Angeles, Hollywood’s ultimate TV fan festival hosted by the Paley Center for Media, celebrates television’s most acclaimed series and grants fans access to special screenings, exclusive conversations, behind-the-scenes scoops and breaking news from the stars and creative minds behind their favorite shows. PaleyFest 2016 started on Friday, March 11 with “Empire” and continues at the Dolby Theatre through Sunday, March 20 with “American Horror Story: Hotel.”

On Saturday night, March 12, PaleyFest welcomed “Scream Queens.” The panel included executive producer Brad Falchuk and stars Abigail Breslin, Jamie Lee Curtis, Billie Lourd, Lea Michele, Niecy Nash, Keke Palmer and Emma Roberts. Here are some fun facts shared at the panel.

– Brad Falchuk confirms that Emma Roberts’ character, Chanel, was inspired by her portrayal of Madison Montgomery in “American Horror Story: Coven.”

– Jamie Lee Curtis’ mother, Janet Leigh, was the victim in the famous Psycho shower scene. When filming the homage with Curtis in the shower, the Psycho scene was playing as the scene was filmed to be able to get the scene as shot by shot as they could in the time allotted. Curtis was happy to film the homage to her mother. She explains, “I’m 58, and my mother has been dead 10 years, so it was now or never.”

– Though she was the original “Scream Queen,” Curtis actually isn’t a fan of horror movies.

– Niecy Nash was so hilarious when delivering her lines that Curtis held a straight pin between her fingers to keep from laughing. Keke Palmer also had a hard time keeping a straight face during Nash’s line deliveries.

– Billie Lourd’s favorite horror movie is Rosemary’s Baby.

– Abigail Breslin’s favorite horror movie is The Exorcist.

– Lea Michele’s favorite horror movie is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

– The cast loved watching the “Real Housewives” and they had “Housewife” nicknames for each other. Curtis, on the other hand, hates the shows and exclaimed, “F**k the Housewives.” This was greeted with much applause.

– Breslin really wants Ice-T to appear on “Scream Queens.”

– Since Season One was filmed in New Orleans, the cast grew very close. The female cast members would have sleepovers, and Michele admits she would sometimes call Roberts late at night to talk.

– The scariest scene for Michele to shoot were the scenes in the deserted house. The house really was deserted and not much work was needed to make it look creepy.

– The scariest scene for Roberts to shoot was the scene in the mall.

– When Lourd and Breslin auditioned for their roles, the producers loved their readings so much that their characters were influenced by the actresses’ own personalities.

– Nash’s character on the show was convinced that Palmer’s character was the killer. In real life, Nash really thought that Palmer would be revealed to be the killer.

– In fact, no cast member knew who the killer would be. Every time they received a new script, they would debate who the killer might be.

– There was tight security regarding the scripts so nothing would leak to the press. Roberts reveals that she left the script for Episode 4 in a coffee shop. She ran back to retrieve it hoping it wasn’t stolen. This was the first time Falchuk heard that.

– When the cast received the scripts for the final episode, the last few scenes weren’t included so the ending couldn’t be leaked.

SPOILER ALERT: Do not read ahead if you haven’t seen the last episode of Season 1.

– Palmer was the first to receive and read the final scenes. Michele didn’t know she was the killer until Palmer told her.

– Abigail Breslin, Jamie Lee Curtis, Billie Lourd, Lea Michele, Niecy Nash, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell and Emma Roberts will reprise their roles for Season 2.

– Due to tax breaks now offered by the state of California, Season 2 will be filmed in California.

– In Season 2, Curtis’ character will now run a hospital. The college students from Season 1 will now be med students while Nash’s security guard character has graduated to FBI agent. Falchuk promises that three hot male doctors will be added to the cast.
