Love it or hate it, Las Vegas has emerged as America’s melting pot of culture and debauchery.
From Shania Twain to Britney Spears, pop stars of the past are attempting to cling to their careers while bachelorettes drunkenly stumble through the lobby of Circus, Circus. Restaurateurs like Gordon Ramsey are opening a number of dining outlets to cater to wallets of every different size. The buffets are timeless and not going anywhere — unfortunately.
But the nightlife? That ever-changing landscape just got a bit glossier and more fabulous with the help of one of the biggest pop stars in history.
Elton John may be taking over the theater at Caesar’s Palace for a few weeks this spring, but can he take over Las Vegas permanently? The answer is YES. Fizz Las Vegas is a sexy, chic champagne lounge that is one of Paul’s Picks this month. The upscale lounge is nestled in the heart of Caesar’s Palace.
John, along with his husband David Furnish and Marvel Management and Marketing, have created a sophisticated, intimate space that is equally suited to a Friday night out or a fancy private event. The 2,750 square foot space went through an overhaul by designer Todd Avery Lenahan costing an alleged $3 million dollars. That is quite a few glasses of bubbly before an investment recoup! The walnut walls combined with the bronze glass really bring you back to the 70’s, which is probably the last time Caesar’s Palace did a property-wide renovation.
INSIDE SCOOP: I had the pleasure of attending a VIP reception at the venue and chatted with an insider who shared the photographs adorning the walls were actually from Elton and David’s personal collection.
MUST TRY: Ask for Char & request any of the specialty cocktails made with champagne.
