Cirque Du Soleil’s latest show, Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities comes to Dodger Stadium Dec. 10. (Cirque Du Soleil)

Every year I look forward to seeing that signature blue-and-yellow Big Top tent. Why, you ask? It means only one thing: Cirque Du Soleil is back in town! Whether they are at the Forum, Santa Monica Pier or this year’s venues, OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa or Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, it is a show not to be missed.

This year Cirque Du Soleil brings Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities to Dodger Stadium. for an exclusive engagement. From Dec. 10, 2015 through Feb. 7, 2016, they sprinkle their wonder on the greater L.A. area. Here are the top five reasons why you can’t miss Kurios!

New show: This is the first time that Kurios has been to L.A. It was created in 2014, which celebrated Cirque’s 30th anniversary. If you are an avid fan like I am, you know that each show is so unique and offers something completely new.

Circus for both kids and adults: I don’t really like to even call it a circus because there aren’t any animals, typical clowns or traditional magic. However the entire show is simply magical, and you can still snack on some popcorn as you ooh and ahh.

Kid-like wonder: When you step foot into those tents, you automatically release any of the stress from the day. You realize that you are about to witness something so extraordinary. Any seat that you have purchased gives a grand view because it’s performed on a circular stage, making you feel like you are definitely a part of the action.

Music & Costumes: They go out of their way to create a brand new world with heart pounding music and fantastical costumes. There is a live orchestra and conductor playing as the performers do their death defying moves. They crescendo at the right moments, and then get quiet letting you know it’s OK to exhale and breathe.

The Overall Experience: I can’t count on my hands how many Cirque Du Soleil shows that I’ve seen because I have become such a fan. They transport you to another world for those two hours. You have to suspend your disbelief as you watch these amazing performers showcase their talent. Your imagination is opened, and you get lucky enough to glimpse into their world of wonder.
