Beyoncé is one of the greatest artists, entertainers and business women of all time.
She doesn’t need much of an introduction. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 20 years, you’ve seen her face on every channel and heard her voice on every radio station. She’s toured the world and lives up to the phrase “stadium status.” She plays a half to one of the most powerful couples in the world, her name is Beyoncé a.k.a. Queen Bee.
She’s HOT – Yeah, we could love her for that reason alone. I mean, are you kidding me, does she age? She’s 35 years young, and as cliché as it sounds, she’s only getting finer with age. We can put two pictures together, side-by-side from 10 years ago to today, and we would have trouble finding anything that’s changed in the past 10 years. Jay-Z said it best on song No. 7 of Watch the Throne, “If Picasso was alive he woulda made her, that’s right my n****, Mona Lisa can’t fade her.”
She can Rap and Sing – This is the quality that undeniably divides the good from the great, and Beyoncé from the rest. Her one of kind raps are the perfect paradox of ferocious bars that are spat out through an enchanting voice. Beyoncé proves this on her “Flawless Remix” where she and Nicki Minaj prove that rap isn’t just for the boys. Obviously, this goddess also has the voice that rains down from the heavens. She commands the stage as soon as the lights go on in arenas all around the world, and her voice echoes beyond the walls.
Her Dance Moves – Name a woman – or a man – doing it better. Her dance moves are second to no one, and finding someone who even comes close to her performance intensity might take some serious research. Her dance to “Single Ladies” took the Internet by storm, and similarly so did her “7/11” music video, which was unexpectedly released. She’s done it all, MTV Music Video Awards; Billboard Music Awards; The Grammys; the Super Bowl – twice; and she’s sold-out countless stadiums all around the world.
Business Woman – Not only does she know the secret to making music, but she also knows the secret to making money. Queen Bee is amongst the richest celebrities in the world with her net worth estimated at around $300 million. This year she partnered with Sir Philip Green of Topshop to launch an activewear line, and in 2007 she founded Parkwood Entertainment Company.
Everlasting Music – Beyoncé’s songs have reached the very peak of the Top 100 Billboard chart numerous times. It’s inevitable: You turn the radio on and you’re almost guaranteed to hear a song or feature by Beyoncé. From my middle-school dances, listening to her and Sean Paul on “Baby Boy,” to rapping along to “7/11” while clubbing in Los Angeles, Queen Bee has hit singles that could keep you singing and dancing all night. Her music will undeniably echo on forever, and she will live on as one of the greatest artists, entertainers and business women of all time.
