The all-female Mexican singing trio Pandora, pictured, is comprised of sisters Isabel Lascurain and Mayte Lascurain, and their cousin cousin Fernanda Meade.
The legendary group Pandora will be live in concert on Friday, October 25th at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. They are currently on tour promoting their new album, titled En El Camino, and also performing their greatest hits.
Fernanda Meade, Isabel and Mayte Lascurain mark their return to LA with a new fresh and organic sound on their “De Corazon” tour, in which they promote their new album which features how the trio has reinvented itself and evolved.
In their return to the stage, Pandora have embarked on a new phase of their long and successful career, and released this new album, uncut, which gives their material a different feel, which proves to be a challenge not just for them, but for their loyal fans as well.
In order to achieve this change, they sought Aureo Baqueir, a very successful producer who has worked with the likes of Thalia, Paulina Rubio and Alejandro Fernandez.
En El Camino is a pop-ballad album with a very modern sound, composed by great songwriters such as Noel Schajris, Paty Cantu, Gian Marco, Claudia Brant, Cesar David and Rio Roma, among others. “El Amor” is the lead song from this album and was released earlier this year. Its first single, titled “Se Solicita Amor,” was composed by Jose Luis and Raul Roma, and without a doubt, will be amongst the group’s greatest hits.
With over 18 albums released, Pandora achieved great success and performed at famed international venues in countries like Chile, Argentina, Japan, the United States and of course, Mexico. Their success enabled them to have duets with music legends such as Frank Sinatra, Placido Domingo, Julie Andrews and John Denver.
Since 1985, Pandora has established itself as one of the best-selling groups in the history of Spanish pop. Their songs appealed to their fans immediately and would stay atop the charts for continuous weeks.
Songs such as “Cuando No Estas Conmigo” and “Te Va Mi Amor,” have made them deserving of countless awards, launching them to fame all over the continent, and setting high sales volumes in all Spanish-speaking countries and the U.S.
The quality of their voices and the harmony and romanticism of their songs on stage captivated generations of audiences who continue to enjoy their music to this day, as well as remember nostalgically those songs that have now become one-of-a-kind classics.
Tomorrow, the audience will have the opportunity to sing along and relive Pandora’s greatest hits, as well as listen to their new songs and experience this new image that they present to us.
