After being on the “Best of 2020” lists of important media outlets such as NPR, Pitchfork and Remezcla, and placing himself among the “Artists to Watch” at only 22 years of age, the Dominican rapper Chucky73, a Bronx native, starts 2021 with an international collaboration.
Chucky73 premiered the music video “Pili”, a collaboration with Chilean rapper Pablo chill-e. The video shows a rap contest and is the ninth music video for his debut album, De Chamaquito Siempre Cabezu. With this new video, Chucky73 is ready to start the new year off on the right foot.

De Chamaquito Siempre Cabezu is an odyssey of the Latin trap that sometimes presents the lyrical emphasis and the inspiration of the rhythm. Mass media outlets such as The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, The Face, The Fader, and Brooklyn & Vegan have written positive reviews of the album.
Chucky73, affectionately nicknamed “the beloved fat man,” is a beloved Dominican rapper from the Bronx. Leader and co-founder of the rap group and label Sie7etr3 (Siete Tres o 73), he delivers a charismatic rap in Spanish and Spanglish, taking his debut to a new evolution of Latin trap mixed with a derivative of the ‘drill’ genre.
“I was the one who started this kind of flow,” Chucky73 says. “No one had created this type of music until I introduced it to the Hispanic industry, our music videos were different and fun to watch.”
