Who would have guessed that just 40 minutes from the greater L.A. area lies a paradise, where it’s always summer and craft beers from all over the world are available at your every request.

San Dimas may not be your idea of paradise, but it is getting a little touch of heaven thanks to the California Beer Festival which will be arriving at the beautiful shady shores of Puddingstone Lake in Frank G. Bonelli Park on Sept. 6.

For one low price, guests receive a souvenir beer-tasting cup to sample some of the best craft beers California has to offer. Ticket prices range from $25 to $70 depending on the type of entry. Ticket options include a VIP Early Bird Experience, Craft Beer Heaven Ticket and a Designated Driver ticket.

Since 2009, the California Beer Festival has been the event of the year for beer novices and aficionados alike. The festival’s main goal is to shine a light on the craft beer movement and to celebrate amazing beers from all over the Golden State.

Beer snobs and casual drinkers are going to be able to enjoy access to over 60 craft beers on tap from such award-winning companies as Alosta Brewing Co., Hangar 24, Karl Strauss and Firestone Walker. Brewers and brewery representatives are scheduled to be in attendance to answer questions and walk guests through tastings.

In addition to amazing beers, the festival features delicious food from vendors based throughout Southern California ,such as Burt’s Bad@ss Burgers, Taco Factory, Extreme Pita and Chancho’s Tacos.

Don’t want to drive? That’s no problem; the festival provides shuttle service from downtown Pomona to Bonelli Park for only $3. Two shuttles are going to do loops starting at 10:45 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. making stops in downtown Claremont and Pomona. There is parking available for $10, so it is suggested that you carpool or just take advantage of the shuttle service.

The Double Tree Claremont Hotel is also offering a special California Beer Festival room package for out-of-town guests who want to make a mini vacation out of the event. The California Beer Festival room package includes hotel accommodations for two, breakfast for two, a pair of general admission tickets and two shuttle passes, all for only $199.
