Enjoy two days of fun, great food and over 85 craft beers on top at the 2015 California Beer Festival this September.
When the California Beer Festival came to San Dimas last year I thought it was going to be the wildest day of my drinking career (It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it.). The whole concept was perfect, over 60 craft beers on tap, and the location was less than a $7 Uber or Lyft ride from my house.
The reality was I had to fit a whole day of drinking in the span of only a few hours. If it wasn’t for the quick resourcefulness of my guest and I (You can check out my review of last years festival here.), I might have missed out on almost half of the vendors because of the huge lines and limited time to enjoy the vast array of beers.
Well thankfully the beer gods behind the annual brew fest factored that problem in, and their solution: a two-day beer festival!
That’s right, California’s largest traveling beer festival is expanding to two days, Sept. 12-13, at the beautiful Frank G. Bonelli Park in San Dimas.
Since 2009, the California Beer Festival has been the event of the year for beer novices and aficionados alike. The festival’s main goal is to shine a light on the craft beer movement and to celebrate amazing beers from all over the Golden State.
Beer snobs and casual drinkers are going to be able to enjoy access to over 85 craft beers (25 more than last year) on tap from such award-winning companies as Alosta Brewing Co., Hangar 24, Karl Strauss and Firestone Walker. Brewers and brewery representatives are scheduled to be in attendance to answer questions and walk guests through tastings.
With two days, come two different themes. Saturday, Sept. 12 dubbed “Craft Beer Heaven” promises to be THE event for any new or seasoned craft beer drinker and enthusiast!.Expand your mind and palate as you sample from over 85 Craft Beers on tap, live music, mouthwatering food and maybe get in a game or two of Bikini Bocce Ball. The main goal of CBFs “Craft Beer Heaven” is to shine a light on the Craft Beer Movement and celebrate great beer.
Sunday, Sept. 13 is the chance to bring the family out for some fun to CBF’s “Hamburger & Hops Music Festival.” This Sunday Funday in the Park features gourmet burgers, craft beer and Foreverland, an electrifying 14-piece tribute to Michael Jackson, along with three other amazing acts. Space is very limited. Kids 12 and under are Free.
In addition to amazing beers, the festival features delicious food from vendors based throughout Southern California, such as Burt’s Bad@ss Burgers, Taco Factory, Extreme Pita and Chancho’s Tacos.
