Mark your calendars for Boyz II Men’s Sept. 9 show at the Saban Theatre.
Popular R&B group Boyz II Men are set to perform at the Saban Theatre Sept. 9. Hailing from Philadelphia, the trio consisting of Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman and Wanya Morris rose to fame initially as a quartet. Since then, the group has built a steady fan base and sold 25 million records in just the United States.
For those who have been long awaiting their return to Southern California, the wait is over. Their concert at the Saban Theatre seems fitting as the venue has an impressive history as well. The Saban was one of the premiere movie theaters in Los Angeles for its first 50 years and has since hosted numerous premieres and special events.
Boyz II Men have managed to remain active more more than 25 years and have released 29 singles. Among those are the hits, “End of the Road” from the film Boomerang, “One Sweet Day” (featuring Mariah Carey) and “On Bended Knee”. Perhaps one of their greatest hits is “End of the Road,” which broke the record held by Elvis Presley by staying in the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 for 13 weeks.
That wasn’t the only time the trio made history on the Billboard charts. They also claim the title of top-ranking members in regards to time spent at No. 1.
For those interested in attending the concert, you can expect to hear some classics as well as some tracks from their most recent release, the 2014 album Collide.
