Chosen Few Urbano Continues is now available.
Manuel Alejandro Ruiz has had his share of success within the music industry. On top of being a Latin urban music producer, he also is a filmmaker, and the CEO of his record label Chosen Few Emerald Entertainment, Inc.
The Dominican-American and Puerto Rican-American, better known as Boy Wonder, has made documentaries, compilation albums, soundtracks, and individual Chosen Few artists albums. And Chosen Few Urbano Continues is his latest release.
Chosen Few Urbano Continues sports 18 tracks and 1 bonus track (the remix of “Te Deseo” with J Alvarez and Jenny “La Sexy Voz”) while featuring prominent urban stars, such as Cosculluella, Nengo Flow, De La Ghetto, Arcangel, Farruko, J Alvarez, Baby Rasta y Gringo, Dyland y Lenny, and Julio Voltio, among others.
“You know, I’ve had a lot of things on my mind, but this is what I wanted to do this time around,” he said while eating a salmon salad and tomato soup at Tender Greens in Hollywood.
This is Boy Wonder’s fifth compilations album.
The leading single off of the album is “Sensual Mujer,” a sexy track with vocals from Jenny “La Sexy Voz.” The Puerto Rican singer often goes off in both Spanish and English simultaneously. “It’s who I am,” she says with an infectious smile. “I’ve often been classified as a bilingual, sexy everything-type woman.”
Boy Wonder’s Chosen Few Emerald Entertainment Inc. is a multimedia and management company, but it also serves as a independent record label that represents many artists, producers and even DJs. It’s located in New York.
Jenny “La Sexy Voz” is signed to Chosen Few Emerald Entertainment Inc. She received her big break when reggaeton duo Alexis y Fido asked her to her vocals appear in “El Palo.” She collaborated with them in “Eso Eh.”
But what’s in store for her in the near future? “I’m prepping my solo debut album,” she says with a deep stare. “On top of being my friend, Boy Wonder also is my mentor and he’s guiding me through the entire process.”
“With her voice, you know, Jenny brings this unique talent to the album. She’s going to be great,” says Boy Wonder, who noted that Los Angeles has been the biggest supporter in terms of purchasing physical copies of albums. “Her work with Arcangel in “Los Blueprints” is just superb. There’s nothing else like it.”
Ever since her youth, Jenny “La Sexy Voz” says she’s been called a sexy woman in most aspects of her life: the way she walks and talks, how she sings and dances, her manner of dressing and physical looks, among other things.
“You know, Jenny’s just one reason why people should get this album Chosen Few Urbano Continues,” says Boy Wonder. “I mean, this album has so many artists on it, a lot of collaborations, and it goes back to the roots of our urban music.”
