The grand opening of BED|STU’s first brick-and-mortar store was packed with stars, tastemakers and fans on Thursday, Nov. 19 at the Malibu Country Mart, Southern California’s premiere lifestyle center.
Actress and model Jaime King, stepped off set of filming her new movie Ever After with Melissa Leo and Teresa Palmer, to check out the new flagship location and get a peek at the upcoming Spring collection of hand-crafted shoes, belts and bags for women and men. She was looking chic in a white turtleneck paired with denim overall flares and BED|STÜ Isla boots.
Other attendees, including besties Ali Landry and Brooke Burke-Charyet, Disney’s XD “Lab Rats”’ Kelli Berglund, and “Big Brother” host Jeff Schroeder and wife Jordan Lloyd, along with actor Edward James Olmos, were also in attendance to check out the brand new storefront and experience fun in-store activities including boot monogramming by BED|STÜ, on-site manicure creations by Nail Garden, local wine selection from Malibu Family Wines and beer by Peroni.
Landry came hand in hand with hubby Alejandro Monteverde. And helped him pick out some stylish black boots to go with his look from BED|STÜ’S Italian collection. Soon after the Charvet duo joined them to check out all the latest styles. Charvet loved them so much they wore them out of the store!
The besties caught up on life while shopping the shelves. “Every where I look there is a new pair I want!” Landry said.
BED|STÜ will be celebrating their store opening with an event open to the public on Saturday, November 21 from 12-4 p.m., where they will be offering unique experiences including a juice bar, monogramming with purchase and a DJ set by William Lifestyl and appearance by Brody Jenner.
The store is open everyday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, please call 310-456-3032 or visit BEDSTU.com.
BED|STÜ opened for business in a small Los Angeles warehouse in 1995, where they began creating products as individual as those who wear them. Forgoing mass production, BED|STÜ’s boots, bags and belts are made using traditional techniques: Goodyear welted, handwoven, hand-sewn, washed, and tumbled. They use natural leathers, a vegetable based tanning process, and hand-finished products, making each piece unique.
