Un Gallo con Muchos Huevos, the latest animated sensation to come out of Mexico, hits U.S. theaters Sept. 4. This film caps off the trilogy produced by Huevo Cartoon Productions, and is widely expected to be a box-office success like its two predecessors.
The film premiered in Los Angeles at a red-carpet event Aug. 23 with some of the cast in attendance, including Omar Chaparro and Angelica Vale. The public was able to enjoy the film free of charge at the L.A. premiere, which took place at the Regal Cinemas at L.A. Live.
Living Out Loud – Los Angeles was on hand at the premiere and caught up with the cast members that were present to discuss their involvement in such a great project.
“This is a great experience and definitely a film worth watching. This is groundbreaking in Mexican cinema, and it’s no surprise that it’s being premiered here as well,” says Omar Chaparro. “As Mexicans, this makes us very proud that international markets want to see this. This film had 500 people working on it, and it’s truly impressive.”
LOL-LA also caught up with Angelica Vale, who voices “Bibi” in the film.
“I am truly excited and proud to have been part of this project from the beginning. I have seen all the hard work and the dedication that have been put into it firsthand,” she says. “They have told me they had me in mind from the very beginning, and the character even bears my likeness in a way. Even though my role is a bit limited in this film, I couldn’t stop voicing my character.
Both actors, as well as the directors, welcomed the audience and presented the film at the event. Those in attendance, both adults and children, also enjoyed free popcorn and refreshments.
The film premieres in select cities on Sept. 4, and later on in Canada, the Americas and select cities in Europe.
