Taking back her musical career and place at the biggest stage in the world, Angeles Ochoa, steps back into the spotlight on June 28, 2014 at the Hollywood bowl for the 25th Anniversary celebration of Mariachi USA.
Ochoa, widely regarded as the rightful successor to Lola “La Grande” Beltrán, holds countless impressive accomplishments and milestones as the leading female voice of today’s Mariachi music.
The singer’s career success was inevitably having Beltrán as her artistic godmother when she began performing at the age of ten.
She has performed with world renowned singers such as Pedro Vargas, Linda Ronstadt, and Juan Gabriel with whom toured the U.S. and participated 52 times in “Siempre en Domingo,” the longest running television program in Mexico that was seen by millions of viewers worldwide.
In 1991, she won Billboard’s “Album of the Year” in Regional-Mexican Category and “Best New Female Artist” during the “Lo Nuestro” Award Ceremony in Miami.
Following her husband’s death, Ochoa put her entire career on hold, dedicating herself to her children and adjusting to life as a single parent.
This June, Ochoa will finally make her comeback and will perform and co-host alongside Rodri J. Rodriguez, Creator, Producer and Host of Mariachi USA.
