In late 2012, Puerto Rican actress and current Telemundo television personality Adamari López released Viviendo, a book in Spanish penned by her where she details her experience with breast cancer, among other things.

López is now set to drop an English copy of that book, titled Thriving (Celebra), in electronic format on Tuesday, November 5. It’ll be available on www.barnesandnoble.com and www.amazon.com.

The 42-year old López was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005. Since then, her life has changed.

“Having the opportunity to write a book, tell my story as a survivor, my experiences as a woman and my family life, has filled me with great satisfaction…not only because I can help many women with my story, to overcome or guide them if faced with a diagnosis of cancer but because I recognized and overcame adversities that needed to be left behind,” said López on a prepared statement released by her representative.

“Now I have the opportunity to share my story and message with another market and have made an English version of my book. It has been 10 months since Viviendo was released and 11 since my mom could not beat her cancer. My mom certainly influenced and is still influencing everything I do, so I had to include a bit more of the special relationship that my mom and I had in this version. The admiration and deep love I feel for my mom makes this edition an even more special one. I know she will be sending me her blessings from the sky for every step I take. I will love you always and I know you will continue to be proud of me,” added López.

“Remember that no matter how much I will need to cry or what I will need to live, I will always smile,” she went on say.

The e-book version of Thriving also features new bonus material, which was not included in the printed version. The English version of the e-book has an epilogue devoted to López’s mother, who died after a sudden illness and wasn’t able to share with López the success of the book.

Thriving carries a price of $9.99.
