Cocktail Specials at Plan Check Kitchen + Bar
Plan Check Kitchen + Bar is celebrating an alternative Anti-Valentine’s Day at their new Fairfax Village location. The modern American eatery will offer 2 for $14 cocktail specials and an all-day happy hour (from 11:30 a.m.– 2 a.m.) featuring cocktail chef Matthew Biancaniello’s Ice Breaker, comprised of Japanese whisky, Batavia Arrak, lime juice, Monin agave syrup, passionfruit, ghost pepper salt, aloe vera chunks, and El Jimador.
4th Annual “I Hate Valentine’s Day Party”
This annual event, taking place at Dublin’s Irish Bar and Grill in Northridge, Calif. from 10 p.m.-2 a.m., is fun and filled with games, prizes, music, and a piñata. Yes, a piñata that’s heart shaped that everyone is encouraged to stamp with message of all the things they hate. At some point during the night everyone goes outside and smashes the piñata; many raffles also happen. Couples, single people, friends, colleagues and family is invited to attend. The “I Hate Valentine’s Day Party” supports a non-profit called Center for Assault Treatment Services (C.A.T.S.) and all proceeds from games and raffles go to them.
Barlo Kitchen Cocktails
Hotel Erwin’s restaurant in Venice Beach is featuring options for singles. The offerings include “Forever Alone Frites,” “She Devil” eggs, and “Door in the Wall” polenta.
Birds
This is truly an event for those who are single. Birds in Hollywood is hosting their annual Anti-Valentine’s Day Party from 7 p.m. and on. Those who attend end up sharing personal stories of their past relationships, like their break ups. There are prizes for those who participate, and there’s also a voodoo doll therapy segment. Special cocktails such as the Blackheart Martini are available. But one catchy thing is that a karaoke night is expected.
The Hudson
A West Hollywood entity, The Hudson is hosting a “Lucky Hour” with cocktail and drink specials from 4-7 p.m. They are also premiering their new winter cocktails, including the “Lucky Hour” specials at $9.
