On August 22, cast members of the upcoming opera titled "Carmen" performed for a group of chic young professionals during an event presented by both LA Opera and Room & Board in Culver City. Those in attendance enjoyed music, cocktails and food. (Marvin Vasquez/Living Out Loud LA)
If you’re a young professional residing in Los Angeles, you must become a member of ARIA as soon as possible.
ARIA is LA Opera’s group for young professionals with an interest in opera. Yes, you read that correctly – an interest in opera!
According to LA Opera, ARIA carries an exciting mix of people: some are familiar with opera and others aren’t.
When becoming a member, you’ll receive an option to purchase a package of 4 operas during the upcoming 2013-14 season: “Carmen” (September 21), “Falstaff” (November 16), “Billy Budd” (March 8, 2014), and “Thaïs” (June 7, 2014). During intermissions, members can enjoy cocktails in the ARIA reception located on the Loge level.
On top of that, you’ll receive exclusive invitations to after-parties following each performance and opportunities to win prizes via raffles. Unbelievable as it may sound, members of the cast might even make their way to the post-opera festivities.
Here are three reasons why you should join LA Opera’s Aria.
After-Parties: Did someone just say after-party? Yes, LA Opera did. As soon as the performance comes to an end, you could be part of an exclusive after-party with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at one of Downtown LA’s best restaurants. Moreover, there’ll be raffles where you could win unique prizes.
Networking: The concept of networking continues to grow, especially in Los Angeles. More and more people keep re-locating to LA simply because of work. So, in essence, this is by far one of the best ways to meet and network with young professionals. Chances are that you could befriend others, at the very least.
Free Membership: It’s free. Need I say more?
