1st Annual MAINopoly: Taste of Main Street Brings Food & Fun for a Cause May 25

Have you ever played Monopoly and wished it were real? Or at least that your participation was not shackled to plastic pieces and a board?

Well in order to raise money for Summer SOULstice and Heal, the Bay MAINopoly will be coming to Main St. in Santa Monica. This Monopoly themed event will take place on Sunday, May 25th (Memorial Day Weekend) from 2-8 p.m.download-1

Guests are encouraged to wear their stars and stripes or red white and blue attire to show their patriotism. Monopoly enthusiast and willing guests are also encouraged to wear Monopoly themed costumes.

Show up with a monocle, top hat and a bow tie to pay homage to the America’s favorite board game. Enjoy $4 beers, $5 wells, and $5 shots. There will be Beer Gardens, “Go Directly to Jail” photo booths and live music. There will also be plenty of food to choose from at this unique event.

MAINopoly dollars will grant you food tastings like fresh fish ceviche from Enterprise Fish Co., goat cheese on pan tostado from Manchego, famed Magic Brownies from M Street Kitchen, Captain Ron’s Mac n Cheese from the Galley, Freddos Iced Coffee from Peet’s, California Rolls from Tsukiji Sushi Sen and many more.

You won’t have to worry about finding parking, since Taxi Magic is the event’s official transportation sponsor. If you download the app and input the code ‘MAINOPOLY,” you’ll received $10 off your first ride during the event.

Tickets for the event are $25 and $35 the day of and will include drink specials and food tastings from participating restaurants and businesses.
